Data Transfer and Reporting Procedures

Transfers can be initiated by tapping on the ‘Start Inspection’ link from the bottom of the ‘Daily Log’ screen. Two options will then appear ‘View on Screen’ or ‘Send to ERODS’. When ‘Send to ERODS’ is tapped an optional output comment field will appear. Once continue is tapped the process to transfer data will begin via Web Service following standards set forth in the mandate. If Web Service fail the transfer via email standards set forth in the mandate will occur. The transfer will default to using the devices cellular connection and tested sending via a Bluetooth PAN using a secondary device with internet access.Certification Statement
The Penske Driver App – Hours of Service is capable of monitoring its compliance for various detectable malfunctions. If an ELD malfunction event is detected or cleared by the Penske Driver App – Hours of Service, the ELD records the event. If active a red icon in the application header with a ‘!’ will appear, and full screen warning will appear. When viewing the details of an active malfunction help text will provide feedback on next steps. Generally, if a driver is unable to resolve a malfunction, they would be directed switch to paper logs. When the criteria for clearing is met the malfunction indicator will become inactive/grey.
