Contact MasterPRO support immediately for troubleshooting assistance. 2. Provide a written notification to your fleet management within 24 hours of discovering the malfunction. 3. Use a paper log for that day and continue using it until the ELD is repaired or replaced. What should the fleet do if the ELD malfunctions? 1. The motor carrier must resolve the ELD malfunction within 8 days of its discovery or after receiving notification from the driver, whichever occurs first. 2. Upon receiving notification from the fleet manager, MasterPRO will send a replacement device. 3. If the motor carrier requires additional time to address the malfunction, they must notify the FMCSA Division Administrator for their state within five days of the driver’s notification, in accordance with § 395.34(2).
