Login Procedure
Login Steps/Prompts

Driver Interaction

Login Required Message

A login required message will be displayed if the vehicle begins to move and
the driver has not logged into the application.

To remove the message, log in to the device.

Select the Login button.
Enter your driver ID.
Select the Send button.
Upon login validation, the login process begins.
a. If a Employee pin invalid message is returned, verify your driver
ID is correct and re-enter the driver ID.
b. If a Login Timeout message is returned, verify a good data
connection is available and re-enter driver ID.

Select Duty Status

Upon successful login, the ELD will allow selection of the drivers duty
status. Select the Skip button if you do not want to change your duty status
at this time.

Driver Allowed Use Categories and
Unidentified Driver Records
Prompt

Following the Duty Status screen the ELD will display the drivers exemption
status, authorized use categories, and if any unidentified driving records are
associated with the ELD.

Uncertified Records Prompt

The page will automatically close after five seconds or can be manually
closed by selecting the Close button.

After display of the drivers login info, a prompt will occur displaying any
uncertified 24-hour period records for the driver. The current 24-hour
period records will not be shown at this time.

To certify the records:

1. Select the desired 24-hour period to view the records.
2. Certification of the records is outlined in the Certification of ELD
Records section.
3. If the driver is not ready to certify any of the records, the driver can
select the Not ReadyTo Certify button to close the prompt.
a. Accessing the uncertified 24-hour records for certification
at a later time is outlined in the Reviewing Uncertified
Driver Records section.
If there are no uncertified records for the driver, a No records to certify
message will be shown and the page will close automatically in five
seconds.

Current Duty Status

After logging on, the current duty status is displayed in the Duty Status
button on the Main HUD screen. To manually update the Duty Status select
the Duty Status button and select the desired Duty Status (ex. Off Duty).

Personal Use Prompt

More details on manual Duty Status updates is available in the
Viewing and Manually Updating Driver Duty Statuses section.
Instructions for viewing the ELD records are available in the
Displaying of ELD Records section.

If the Personal Use designation was selected prior to logging off, a prompt
will appear asking if Personal Use is still occurring.

1. Selecting Yes will keep using the Personal Use designation for the
driver.
2. Selecting No will clear the Personal Use designation.
3. If no response occurs and the vehicle begins to move, the Personal
Use designation will be cleared.
a. This prompt also occurs after a power cycle of the vehicle
or tablet.

1. Select the Menu / Log Out button on the Main HUD screen.

2. Select the Log Out button on the intermediate page.
Uncertified Records Prompt

Similar to the login procedure, its required to notify the driver of any
uncertified driver records at logout. The pages and interactions are the
same as during the login process.

To certify the records:
1. Select the desired 24-hour period to view the records.
2. Certification of the records is outlined in the Certification of ELD
Records section.
3. When the driver has finished certifying records, or is not ready to
certify records, select the Not Ready To Certify button to finish
logging out.
If there are no uncertified records for the driver, a No records to certify
message will be shown and the page will close automatically in five
seconds.

Off Duty Prompt

If the driver has not indicated a Duty Status of Off Duty or Personal Use, a
prompt will appear asking if the driver is going Off Duty.



Selecting Yes will update the drivers Duty Status to Off Duty and
finish logging out.

Selecting No will keep the current Duty Status and finish logging
out.

Viewing and Manually Updating Driver Duty Statuses
On the Main HUD screen the Duty Status button shows the driver's current Duty Status.

When the vehicle is stopped, selecting the Duty Status button allows for manual updating of the drivers
Duty Status. After login, the driver must manually select the drivers current Duty Status (ex. On Duty Not
Driving) if it is different from the last selected Duty Status.
