Malfunctions and Testing
The app can transfer data using Telematics. The process for both Webservice and Email are the same: 1. The driver logs into the app, chooses his vehicle and then connects to the ELD through Bluetooth; 2. Once on the HoS page, in the below menu bar he has to choose "Inspection"; 3. In the new page, the driver will press on the "Send Logs" button; 4. A new page will appear, will a select button for one of the options: "Web" or "Email"; 5. The driver will choose one of the options and will press "Submit"; 6. After that a comment will be written and then press "Send"; 7. After the sending process, a message will communicate to the driver if the file was sent successfully or not;
Certification Statement
The ZIGZAG ELD system has the capability to self-detect any malfunctions as per the guidelines given in Appendix A, section 4.6. Drivers using the system will be alerted with a visual signal in case of any malfunction or diagnostic event that includes data recording, data transfer, missing data elements, power failure, engine synchronization, timing, positioning and unidentified driving.
