    Power Malfunction – Power data diagnostic will be set if app cannot connect to engine hardware via Bluetooth. Data diagnostic reset when it connects to engine hardware. Malfunction registered if 30 minutes of this diagnostic is accumulated in 24 hours. Engine Synchronization Malfunction – When information is requested by app from engine hardware and the information isn’t available within 5 seconds the data diagnostic is set. Data diagnostic is reset when engine information is received again. Malfunction registered if 30 minutes of this diagnostic is accumulated in 24 hours. Timing Malfunction – Checks time against an online api for time. Malfunction will be set if internal time is 10 minutes different. Malfunction will be reset once internal clock is reset to be correct. Positioning Compliance Monitoring – Hardware device keeps track of accuracy of GPS fix. When GPS accuracy falls below acceptable tolerance distance is tracked. If 5 miles passes without getting an acceptable GPS fix a malfunction is set. Data Recording Compliance Monitoring – If app detects that it is lacking storage for event records a malfunction status will be set. When storage space is freed the malfunction will be reset. Data Transfer Compliance Monitoring – App will send a test data transfer if 7 days have passed since the last test or actual data transfer. If it fails a data diagnostic will be set it will make test transfers every 24 hours until it succeeds. If a check succeeds data diagnostic is reset. If three checks fail a malfunction is set.
