The Pacific Track PT40-Q ELD supports both local and telematics data transfer methods. For local transfer, the device communicates via Bluetooth or USB using FMCSA-compliant data file formats that can be read by authorized inspection devices. For telematic transfer, the PT40-Q securely transmits ELD data files to authorized safety officials through HTTPS Web Services or Email, following FMCSA’s standard protocols. Each transfer is initiated from the driver’s connected mobile application and is digitally signed to ensure integrity and authenticity.Certification Statement
The PT40-Q ELD detects, records, and reports all malfunctions as defined by 49 CFR §395.34. These include power compliance, timing compliance, data recording, data transfer, positioning, and unidentified driver record errors. When a malfunction occurs, the ELD notifies the driver through the mobile application interface and logs the malfunction event for carrier review.
