Driver logs are transferred through the ELD system using an electronic data transfer method. If required, drivers can use the mobile app to send their logs via email or web services. To initiate the transfer process, drivers can navigate to the DOT Mode menu section and choose the "Send" button. The Malfunction and Diagnostic Event Records of COLUMBUS ELD document all malfunctions that occurred during the relevant period, and all drivers using the ELD are informed of active malfunctions.
