device in your vehicle

Turn off the engine and locate the
diagnostic port inside the vehicle.
For heavy-duty vehicles, look for
circular ports with 9 or 6 pins. For
light to medium-duty vehicles, nd
the OBDII port.

Make sure to install the device away
from other electrical components to
prevent interference.

Connect the other end of the
cable to the Hive ELD.

After installing the device, conrm its
functionality by looking for a blinking
green LED light. The green light will
start blinking once a GPS and Cellular
connection is established.

Install the Hive ELD App
1

For Android phones and tablets, download
the Hive ELD App from the Google Play
Store. For iPhones and iPads, download the
Hive ELD App from the App Store.

Open the Hive ELD App

Login to the Hive ELD
App and select a vehicle
Enter your login details and tap LOG IN. You will
be prompted with the Terms and Conditions.
Read the Terms and Conditions and tap AGREE.
Select your vehicle from the list, or
search for one.
Tap ACCEPT, you will be prompt with a
Settings page where you can review and edit
settings details.
Tap SAVE.

Dashboard View
Once you have logged in and
selected your vehicle, you
will be directed to the
Dashboard page. To
establish a connection with
your vehicle, utilize the Tap
to Connect button.

Connect your mobile device to
the Hive ELD device

Enable Bluetooth
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device
before connecting to the Hive ELD device.

To connect your vehicle, use the
Connect button. The device will try
to pair with the selected vehicle's
ELD via Bluetooth. The ELD bar will
change from yellow to red,
indicating it is in pairing mode.

An icon
will appear in
connection bar upon successful
connection.

Ready to Drive
After completing all the
preparatory tasks in this section,
you are ready to drive. Once your
vehicle reaches a speed of 5 MPH
or more, your duty status will
automatically change to Driving,
as required by the ELD mandate.

Record Hours of Service

1

When your vehicle reaches 5 MPH or
higher, Hive ELD indicates that the
vehicle is In Motion, and your duty
status will automatically change to
On Duty.

When the vehicle stops (0 MPH) it's
considered Stationary.

You can change your duty status by
tapping Driving and selecting a
different status.

If your vehicle remains stationary
for ve minutes, you will be
prompted to change your duty
status. If you ignore this prompt,
your duty status will automatically
change to On Duty.

Inspect Logs

To start the DOT inspection, tap the
menu icon in the top right corner
and select DOT Inspection.

tap Begin Inspection. Logs for
current and last seven days will
appear on the screen.
