The Ensi Log ELD application paired with the Ensi Log PT30 unit delivers live engine data, duty status tracking, GPS positioning, and makes HOS entries, DVIR filings, and DOT inspections straightforward. To get started On your Android device, open the Google Play Store and search for Ensi Log ELD Tap Install and grant any requested permissions Once installation finishes, open Ensi Log ELD Allow any on-screen permission requests Enter your username and password to sign in. If you dont yet have login credentials or cant remember them, contact your fleet manager. New users should follow the apps registration prompts to set up an Ensi Log ELD account. 1 Truck Connection Setup Ensure your ELD unit is mounted exactly as described in the Hardware Manual before linking the Ensi Log ELD app to your truck. Once the device is ready Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet Launch the Ensi Log ELD app On the home screen, tap the truck icon to search for nearby ELD-enabled vehicles Pick your trucks serial number from the list to establish the connection A green truck icon at the top confirms a successful link A red truck icon signals a dropped connection that needs reestablishing. 2 Driving Logs Tap the Log icon on the dashboard to view the complete logbook, which includes driver, vehicle, and carrier details. The Log Graph presents a timeline of your duty statuses and Hours of Service, making it easy to monitor compliance at a glance. Reviewing and Editing Logs Use the date selector at the top to navigate between days To insert a missing duty segment, choose Insert Event and enter the required information To edit an existing record, tap the pencil icon next to that entry. Under FMCSA rules, you may only change entries to correct errors, and any edits must preserve the logs accuracy and compliance. 3 Main Dashboard When you launch the Ensi Log ELD app, the Hours of Service dashboard loads, displaying Malfunctions and Data Inconsistencies Icon flags any device faults or data conflicts Additional Menu grants quick access to extra tools and preferences Connection Status Icon a truck graphic that shows how well your PT30 is linked to the vehicle Notifications Panel lists important system alerts and messages Active Driver Name indicates the signed-in driver; tap it to switch or manage Co-Driver settings Country Rules Flag shows which regulatory ruleset is currently applied. Duty Status Switch lets you toggle your HOS status (On Duty, Off Duty, etc.) in one tap Hours Remaining Indicator tracks your remaining driving and on-duty hours HOS Info Menu opens a detailed view of your service records Log Menu provides access to todays log and historical entries Vehicle Inspection (DVIR) launches the Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports area DOT Inspection Prep organizes your logs for Department of Transportation review. 4 Changing HOS Status On the Status Switch screen, select your current duty from the following options: Driving, On Duty, Off Duty, Sleeper Berth, Border Crossing, Yard Move (only when On Duty), Personal Use (only when Off Duty). Automatic Transition The system will switch you to Driving once motion is detected After stopping, wait a minimum of 10 seconds before shutting off the engine so the ELD can record the end of your drive and unlock the status selector. Cutting the engine too quickly may leave your log showing you as Driving, causing a compliance error. To correct this Restart the engine Let the drive segment finish Manually choose the appropriate status. You can also enter additional details manually Special activity types (Personal Use, Yard Move Custom notes or remark Shipping document identifier Trailer numbers Whenever you add or adjust an entry, include the odometer reading to ensure your log remains accurate and compliant. 5 Personal Use & Yard Move To set Personal Use status On the Status Switch screen, tap Off Duty Once youre Off Duty, pick Personal Use and enter a short comment. To complete the change Tap Clear Enter your comment or required details Tap Save. To set Yard Move status On the Status Switch screen, tap On Duty Once youre On Duty, select Yard Move and add a brief comment. To complete the change Tap Clear Enter your comment or required details Tap Save. 6 Rules In the Rules section, you can review the active HOS framework and watch your drive, on-duty, and off-duty timers adjust in real time. This ensures every log entry follows the correct regulations and keeps you in full compliance. If you cross into a different jurisdiction, simply select the appropriate rule set to meet local mandates. You can also view when daily and weekly limits reset, helping you plan your rest periods effectively. By staying aware of these parameters, you avoid fines and maintain a safer, more efficient operation. 7 Dual Driver Mode The Ensi Log ELD app supports dual-driver operation, allowing two individuals to log their duty times and statuses on a single vehicle. Each vehicle can only maintain one active ELD connection at a time whether youre driving alone or with a teammate. Trying to link multiple devices simultaneously can result in missing data and is not allowed.
