Confirm that the Login, Network and ECM icons have cycled from red to green at the bottom of the ELD screen, and the correct driver name is displayed below the Login icon. NOTE: A 10 HOUR RESET, OR 34 HOUR REST CYCLE (WHERE APPLICABLE) MUST HAVE OCCURRED BETWEEN SHIFTS, OR YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO LOG-IN TO THE HOS MODULE OF THE ELD. IF YOU ARE DENIED ACCESS TO HOS, CONTACT YOUR DIRECT SUPERVISOR IMMEDIATELY BEFORE PROCEEDING. STEP 2: Immediately after logging-in, the HOS clock will begin calculating your shift status as On Duty (ON) STEP 3: Place the ELD in the in-cab charging dock STEP 4: Once the vehicle is in motion, your shift status will automatically change to On Duty-Driving (DR) NOTE: When the vehicle comes to a stop and is placed in Neutral, or the ignition is no longer in the RUN position, your shift status will automatically change to On Duty (ON) NOTE: If the vehicle is NOT in motion, you can manually change your duty status to On Duty, by tapping on the (ON) icon, in the Hours of Service menu. 14737 Catalina Street, San Leandro, CA 94577 Tel: 888.287.9779 Fax:510.562.1330 www.ctswest.com HOS Overview: Logging in to the HOS module 14737 Catalina Street, San Leandro, CA 94577 Tel: 888.287.9779 Fax:510.562.1330 9 www.ctswest.com HOS Overview: Logging out of the HOS module 10 After carefully reviewing the details of your daily log, and confirming that all necessary corrections have been made then you may begin the Log out/certify driver log process: STEP 1: Confirm that the Online icon has cycled to green, on the ELD. STEP 2: Tap on the Certify button, on your HOS display. STEP 3: Electronically provide your signature in the pop up window. NOTE: A default signature will display. To create a new signature, tap on the Create New Signature button. STEP 4: Tap Save, to complete your daily log. STEP 5: You will automatically be logged out of the ELD.
