Step 1: Turn off the engine. Turn the ignition key or switch from the "ON" or "RUN" position to the "OFF" position.

Step 2: Locate the diagnostic plug inside your vehicle's cabin. The diagnostic plug is typically located in one 

of the following places:







Under the left side of the dashboard;

Connecting port
Under the steering wheel;

Near the driver's seat;

Under the driver's seat.

Step 3: Connect the ELD plug to the diagnostic port of the vehicle. Screw the lock surface until it locks. 

Make sure the ELD is connected.

Step 4: Once plugged in, the device will start syncing with the engine control module [ECM] and Motion ELD application on
the tablet.

Step 5: Then get the tablet provided by fleet manager and turn it on. Tablet should automatically start application.

Log in to application using your Username and Password. 
If you do not have Motion ELD account, please contact your fleet manager.

Your tablet with Motion ELD application will automatically scan for ELD devices.

You should choose ELD device with strong signal.

If the ELD is connected to the vehicle, you will see green Bluetooth icon 
on the top right corner of the dashboard.

Application Guide

- Login
Sign in to the app using your username and password. If
you dont have an ELD account, please contact your fleet
manager or your companys safety department for access.

- Select Your Vehicle
Select your vehicle by matching the vehicle number. If you 

dont see the Select Vehicle screen, your fleet manager 

has already assigned a vehicle to you. To change vehicles, 

open the Menu and select Select Vehicle.

- Connect to ELD
Select your ELD device from the list to connect. If the connection fails, the app will 

guide you through the steps to fix the issue. Once connected, youll be taken to the dashboard. 

You can check the ELD connection status by the green icon in the top-left corner of the screen. (img.3)

- Using the App on the Road

Step 1: Select your current duty status on the main screen (img.1). 

When the vehicle exceeds 5 mph, your duty status automatically switches to Driving, 

and the app enters driving mode. The Driving status cannot be selected manually. 
Step 2: The location and odometer will be filled in automatically.
Step 3: Add the trailer and BOL number; you can also add a note.
Step 4: Tap Save.

- Logbook Certification
To sign your logbook, please follow these steps:


Tap the Certify icon. (img.1)

Select the days you need to sign. (img.2)

Tap the Certify button. (img.2)

Draw your signature on the screen.

Check the box to confirm the selected day(s).

Tap Submit.

Tap the Inspection icon at the top of the screen (img.1) , 

then select Begin Inspection (img.2) and show the officer your 8-day logbook summary.

- Transfer ELD records (Follow the given guidelines to send your records to DOT)
Tap the Inspection icon (img.1), you send your last 8 days of logs to the DOT at once by using Send Output
File(img.2) and entering a message. Then you should click Send(img.3).

- 395.22 Motor Carrier Responsibilities
A motor carrier must ensure that its drivers possess onboard a commercial motor vehicle and ELD 

information packet containing the following items: An instruction sheet for the driver describing ELD 

malfunction reporting requirements and record-keeping procedures during ELD malfunctions.

- The following instructions are in accordance
with the guidelines set forth in 395-34
USPower ELD will monitor and report malfunction data based on section "4.6 ELDs 

Self-Monitoring of Required Functions," table 4:
