Device Overview 3 Turn the lock ring clockwise until it locks into the diagnostic port. Installing the Device in a J1708 Port 1 Turn off your vehicle. 2 Connect the device to the 9-pin side of the adapter cable included with your device. NOTE: The arrow on the lock ring must align with the channel on the adapter cable. 3 Turn the device lock ring clockwise until it locks into the adapter cable. Rubber cap Lift to reveal the pairing button and USB port. Pairing button Hold to activate pairing mode. USB port Transfers files to a USB storage device. Light ring Illuminates light blue when the device receives power. Flashes dark blue when the device is in pairing mode. Illuminates dark blue when connected using Bluetooth wireless technology. Illuminates green when a USB transfer is ready. Illuminates red and flashes when an error is detected. 4 Connect the 6-pin side of the adapter cable to the J1708 port on your vehicle. NOTE: The arrow on the adapter lock ring must align with the channel on the J1708 port. Lock ring Secures the device to the vehicle diagnostic port or adapter cable. Installation WARNING When installing the device in a vehicle, install the device securely so it does not interfere with the vehicle operating controls, such as the foot pedals, or the driver's feet. Interference with the vehicle operating controls or feet can re
