If the engine is running, turn it off and set the key to the "Off" position before connecting the ELD device. 02 Locate the diagnostic port within your vehicles cabin. It is commonly found in one of these locations Below the left side of the dashboar Under the steering whee Near the drivers sea Beneath the drivers seat 03 Attach the ELD plug to the vehicles diagnostic port. Secure it by tightening the locking surface until it is firmly in place. Ensure the ELD is properly connected. 04 After being plugged in, the device will begin syncing with the engine control module (ECM) and the SUN ELD application on the tablet. 05 Then get the tablet provided by fleet and turn it on. Tablet should automatically start application. 02 Aplication guide 01 Log in to the application using your username and password. If you dont have a SUN ELD account, please reach out to your carrier. 03 Aplication guide 02 Your tablet with SUN ELD application should be connected to ELD. When you log in to your SUN ELD account, choose which device to connect. And the ELD device lights green, when it is ready to use. 04 Aplication guide 03 If the ELD is connected to vehicle, you can see green icon on the top of the dashboard 04 If it is not connected, the icon stays red 05 Using SUN ELD on the road: 01 Once your mobile device is connected to the ELD, your driving time will be automatically recorded. When your vehicle starts moving and reaches the speed of at least 5 mph, your duty status is automatically set to Driving . 06 Using SUN ELD on the road 02 Set your duty status in the main window based on your current situation. From the statuses in the main window, select "Off Duty", "Sleep", "On Duty" depending on your situation 03 Fill out location field and put remarks, such as Pre-trip inspection or Coffee break. 07 Review ELD logs 01 Tap Inspection icon on the bottom navigation bar 02 Tap " Begin inspection" and show your electronic logbooks eight-day summary to the officer. 08 Transfer ELD records to authorized safety officer for inspection: 03 Tap Inspection icon on the bottom navigation bar 04 In the pop-up menu, select Send ELD Output File to DOT in order to send your electronic log books data to DOT. 09
