How to install ELD device:

Ensure your vehicle's engine is switched off. If the engine is running,
turn it off and set the key to the "Off" position before connecting the
ELD device.

Locate the diagnostic port within your vehicles cabin. It is commonly
found in one of these locations
Below the left side of the dashboar
Under the steering whee
Near the drivers sea
Beneath the drivers seat

Attach the ELD plug to the vehicles diagnostic port. Secure it by
tightening the locking surface until it is firmly in place. Ensure the ELD
is properly connected.

After being plugged in, the device will begin syncing with the engine
control module (ECM) and the SUN ELD application on the tablet.

Then get the tablet provided by fleet and turn it on. Tablet

should automatically start application.

Log in to the application using your
username and password.
If you dont have a SUN ELD account, please reach
out to your carrier.

Your tablet with SUN ELD application
should be connected to ELD.
When you log in to your SUN ELD account, choose
which device to connect.
And the ELD device lights green, when it is ready
to use.

If the ELD is connected to vehicle, you can
see green icon on the top of the
dashboard

If it is not connected, the icon stays red

Using SUN ELD
on the road:

01

Once your mobile device is connected to
the ELD, your driving time will be
automatically recorded.
When your vehicle starts moving and reaches the
speed of at least 5 mph, your duty status is
automatically set to Driving .

Using SUN ELD on the road

Set your duty status in the main window
based on your current situation.
From the statuses in the main window, select "Off
Duty", "Sleep", "On Duty" depending on your
situation

Fill out location field and put remarks,
such as Pre-trip inspection or Coffee
break.

Tap Inspection icon on the bottom
navigation bar

Tap " Begin inspection" and show your
electronic logbooks eight-day summary
to the officer.

Transfer ELD records to authorized
safety officer for inspection:

Tap Inspection icon on the bottom
navigation bar

In the pop-up menu, select Send ELD
Output File to DOT in order to send your
electronic log books data to DOT.
