Cable

ELD device

Attach the 9-pin, 6-pin or OBDI cable 
to the diagnostic port of the vehicle.

With the engine off, locate the diagnostic port inside the vehicle. The diagnostic port is generally located in one of four places:

Attach the other end of the cable to the Wizefleet ELD.( Secure the connection by tightening the thumbscrews on the 15-pin connector.( Refer to the Wizefleet ELD User Guide (dated 2025-11-10) for more details.

a. Underneath the left side of the dash.
b. Underneath the steering wheel.
c. Near the driver's left kick panel.
d. Below the driver's seat.

The signal is locked

Device is powered

Remove the backing from the adhesive strip and mount the ELD to the cleaned area.

Once plugged in, the indicator lights will flash momentarily before turning solid red. 
After approximately one minute, the left-side indicator light will turn green, indicating a successful GPS connection. If this does not occur, try moving the ELD to increase exposure to the sky.

Before you mount the ELD, use the provided alcohol swab to clean the mounting area.

Choose a spot on the top of the dashboard to mount your ELD. 
The mounting spot should be near the windshield, but away from any vents or electrical components that may cause interference.

Contact your fleet manager. 

Open the Wizefleet ELD driver
account
Enter your username&password;.

Click Sign In

Download & login the Wizefleet ELD App

The connected device appears at the top 
with a green "Connected" status.

Select the vehicle that you want to connect to.

The driver scans for nearby vehicle's ELD. The app shows which devices are close enough to connect ("NEAR") or too far away ("AWAY")

Your digital signature is required when you certify your logs 
for the first time. Once provided, the signature is stored 
in the system and automatically applied to future certifications.

1. Initial Signature Prompt
If you tap Certify without having a saved signature, 
     the app will prompt you to sign on the Signature screen.
Draw your signature in the space provided and press Save.
After saving, your signature will be attached to all subsequent
     certifications.

2. Editing Your Existing Signature
If you need to update or change your signature later, open your
 .   Profile and tap the current signature image.
On the Signature screen, clear the old signature and draw 
     a new one.
Press Save to confirm and store your updated signature 
     in the system.

Location services, notifications, and Bluetooth must be enabled 
to ensure accurate tracking and compliant ELD functionality. 

Tapping any permission will redirect you to your device's settings, where you can enable the required access.

Tap Permissions to open a detailed list of requirements, 
each showing whether it's currently allowed or denied.

The app automatically locks when the vehicle exceeds 
10 mph to prevent drivers from manually changing their status while driving, ensuring accurate HOS tracking and regulatory compliance.

The Home Screen of the Wizefleet ELD provides real-time visibility into your available driving and work hours in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. The screen displays the remaining time for:
Drive Time (11-hour limit)
Break Time (30-minute mandatory break)
Shift Time (14-hour window)
Cycle Time (60/70-hour limit for the work cycle)
